It wasn't that Yuuta didn't know what kind of person Mizuki Hajime was. He knew perfectly well.

Let's just state right now that I will continue to EGG you on! Yes, I will.

But this was, this was so twisty, yet so straightforward. Urk, I'm trying to put my thoughts into words, and all I can think about is the ending. Not the Mizuki putting his foot in it (though quite amusing, but Fuji baiting is never healthy), it is the realisation that Yuuta's life is good, and not fully controlled by the two because the two obsessive/possessive freaks keep each other in check.

It is the realisation that Yuuta, teh Fuji that he is, and the wonderful boy that he is, is manipulating everything in his favour. Not saying that he's involved with Mizuki only for the counterbalance to Fuji, but rather he's manipulating everyone WITHOUT lying to his own feelings.

And that, that my friend is admirable.

And Mizuki, oh gods Mizuki, the snake truly cares for Yuuta. No matter how that caring (dare I say love?) comes with ten pages of disclaimer and footnotes. Ulterior motives abound, yes, yet EVERYONE is truhtful to themselves without betraying each other. I LOVE!

I can't wait to see what you will be coming up with next.

And Yuuta writing to Fuji about Mizuki and him was just PRICELESS, yet so in character. I SQUEE!

but Fuji baiting is never healthy

No, it isn't, but Mizuki does have a reason for tempting fate. He's courting that part of Syuusuke that most sane people try to avoid. When he specified "if he survives", he wasn't entirely kidding. And I think he'll get what he wants. Not entirely sure I'll be able to write it, but I think he'll get it.

No question that he'll come back to Yuuta, though, because I do think Mizuki loves him, deep in his reptilian heart. *dotes on them*

I'm really quite interested about Mizuki's need to bait Fuji. The want to know is very strong. Perhaps even if you don't write the fic, you might be able to write a short rant on the whys of Mizuki's fascination with Fuji. Yes, that would be very helpful.

Defintely. I knew he was dead serious. Mizuki knows the danger of Fuji, but pride, need, or whatever that's driving Mizuki to toy with danger, he knows he's likely to get hurt, but ohhhhh, whatever he want must be worth it.

This certainly isn't how I perceive Mizuki, it's a very nice take on his personality. I think I prefer your Mizuki than the one that's in my mind. ^_^

I love how you characterize Yuuta, because he follows Mizuki's orders yet he's not afraid to defy him. And he deserves a medal for putting up with both his brother and Mizuki.

I really enjoyed the depth you gave to the characters here...and you based it all in anime canon, which makes it that much better. It's nice to see Mizuki portrayed as somthing more than just a bastard, and Yuuta as more than a victim--especially because I think Yuuta has wa-ay more strength of character than a lot of people give him credit for. You have made this Yummi fangirl veryvery happy ^^

This fic was SO GOOD. I can not tell you how close I came to just shower my computer screen (at work, at lunch!) at some parts (the phone call, ohh Mizuki-kun is the evil!)and I laughed as poor Yuuta turned the color of turnips. I am so reading the next few...Yuuta, lucky boy you!

*resurrects from the dead* I'm so excited - I can't find any words to describe my glee... but Mizuki and Yuuta!!! ♥♥♥ Not only are fics for my yummi OTP generally rare to find, but yours was really enjoyable too >o<. Though I prefer YuutaMizuki over MizukiYuuta - what I love about them is that either would work, with Mizuki trying to manipulate Yuuta, but the latter being strong enough to follow his own way. Mizuki just can't escape from Yuuta's boyish charms, even though he claims to be in change himself... it's like opposites attract ^___^.

I love your Mizuki's reasons to desire Yuuta (and the whole yummi love in it!! <33) and Mizuki's line at the phone *giggles madly*... And I adore the conclusion, because it's something I've never thought about directly, but it makes perfect sense to me now X3~~ This triangle is just insolvable as it is, with Yuuta in the center! *wibbles with love*

*happy* Glad you like it! I'm extremely fond of Yuuta, and Mizuki, well, he's just Smirking Evil, and I have a weak spot for that. And they fit so well together.

Yeah, this arc has Fuji with Tachibana; Long Exposure is their backstory.

As for the Yuuta/Mizuki... *casts eyes upward, whistling innocently* We're getting there.

Thank you, darling. Yuuta is wonderful, and I love him to death, and he deserves more fic about him. He can so handle Mizuki. And Mizuki knows it, which is the best part.

And yes, you should write Yuuta fic! The world needs more Yuuta fic!
