Fic post from my archive.
The team starts to recover, and Niou and Yagyuu find another kind of comfort.
It stretched him to the edge of pain, but never quite over. It was, perfectly, everything he desired of his partner, every reason he pressed Yagyuu to let himself go, the extremity of sensation that could have been destruction but, to him, was not.

Date: 2004-06-21 06:19 am (UTC)Another thing I agree with. Akaya's play style is so violent...it's really not tennis. I mean with Shinjyo (from Jyosei Shounan), Hanamura emphasizes very explicitly that his Deep Impact technique (not really unlike Akaya's, though less berserkerish) is not to be used, that it's unnaceptable. Akaya's pretty much been left alone to play whichever way he wants but his teammates still stare and call him a monster behind his back. Meanwhile, Sanada just nods and pets him when he wins. Meanwhile, we can't help but wonder if Yukimura (presumably of good heart and soul and honest sportsmanship, etc.) knows that Akaya's uncaged? Akaya then, in essence, is who Sanada is on the inside. So, I'm glad for this portrayal.
(Whoa...so effin' deep. I'm shocked at myself. -_-)
Now for the fun part....yeah! I'm so ecstatic. Yagyuu is seme, seme, seme!!! (although I don't mind at all either way) Can I just say the last part had me squirming with pleasure in my seat? and it ended on such a perfect note.
And Yukimura is so...well, I suffer from lack of him in manga and anime so we love him through fic. This fic, in fact. ^_^ On to the next!

[Real quick break in reading] 'omniscient'? Yukimura? {grins} gods I love it! {jumps rigth back to reading where she left off with baited breath}
[dissolves into giggles] oh... dear.... That... was just a *great* way to end a soul-rendering encounter.... [shoulders still shaking with barely controlled mirth]

Date: 2004-06-22 06:15 pm (UTC)*muses* I think SanaKiri is definitely on the menu for the future. Curiously, I'm not as sure about YukiKiri; I'm not sure Sei-chan would let himself do that while Akaya is still under his care. Hmmm.

Date: 2004-06-23 12:39 am (UTC)SenaKiri would be hot--and I do mean that literally. All angry and fiery and *burning*.... As for the YukiKiri, while Sei-chan probably *wouldn't* do anything that might be considered taking *advantage* of someone in his charge (at least, not *that* type of advantage) I think he *would* 'care' for Kirihara if the elf needed it. And while Sanada and Yukimura are probably both very passionate lovers, there's no denying that their styles would be very different, even when they're together. It's just their personalities--Yukimura dominates with a seemingly gentle hand, a loving affection.
(I suddenly *really* want to see some more Yukimura loving....)

Date: 2004-06-21 11:24 pm (UTC)I like the parallels you've set up within the teams - Yagyuu and Niou, Sanada and Kirihara...
Another time he observed, to his vast amusement, Akaya hauling a glaring Sanada down the walk to Yukimura's house, shoving him inside, closing the door firmly and settling down on the front stoop. He saluted the kid lazily and didn't try to stop in. Sanada could not, he knew, have been resisting that much or the slight Akaya would never have budged him.
I'm really starting to look forward to hearing what your Kirihara bunnies are telling you.
His partner froze, and Masaharu smiled against Yagyuu's skin. If he had ever wanted revenge for having been maneuvered into it, that first time, he rather thought he had it now.
[pets Niou] You dear, sweet, crazed psychopath, you.
With, a corner of Masaharu's mind had to add, the possible exception of Yukimura, who was obviously omniscient.
Obviously. He's God. Duh.
"We didn't..." Masaharu gasped, "we didn't take off... the wrist weights...!" He dissolved into cackles again.
Yagyuu's rare, open laugh joined his.
Probably *not* the weight training Sanada and Yanagi had in mind, but probably just as effective... [leer]
I do have to wonder what, exactly, Yukimura is going to make of what his team has become in his absence.

Date: 2004-06-22 06:19 pm (UTC)*thoughtful* The funny thing is, most of the things Yukimura would really object to will have already been fixed. By Ryouma. That *is* the effect he tends to have on his opponents, to straighten out their heads in the process of whomping them flat. So there will be some... gentle corrections, but I think Sanada is going to beat himself up a lot worse than Yukimura ever would.
