Of course, I'm thinking he's still going to get a bit of a shock when the year turns and there are all these first years running around calling him Buchou as a matter of course. *snickers* Hmm, wonder which senpai should help him recover his equilibrium...

Ryoma and Kirihara would so compare notes on the frustrations of being team captains when their seniors aren't around! (maybe even share commiserations about people mouthing off to them or about responsibility comments)

For one moment he was disoriented, as if he had stepped around the other side of a one-way mirror and seen a familiar room from a skewed angle. How had he gotten to be on this side?

*beams* Thank you! Kiri-elf is such a fun character, and he gets stuck so often as a static figure; it's nice to experiment with what he might be like as he progresses, as his character and position both seem to demand.

It is part of why I like your Rikkai so much; they evolve, they grow and they do it in a way that feels right. :)

And I should mention, I'm having great fun reading your Dabide on MP. He makes me want to ruffle his hair, except he'd never forgive me. ^_^

Thank you! Dabide is a slightly exasperated young man these days. He still hasn't come to a permanent conclusion about the very short, very tentative affair he and Bane had last year, but this he knows: Love makes his friends behave like aliens and girls (wait, that's kind of the same, right?), ergo is must be bad. So he has sworn it off, in order to play the role of the token sane person on the team. Optimist that he is... >:)

And onee-sama, does this mean fangirls get to vote on that?

*thinks* Does it have to be his team? I doubt anyone other than the Glorious Three in former Rikkai ever had to coax and guide other players the way Akaya has to now. Captainly examples definitely work along the lines of Tezuka and Tachibana, as does Mirror!Atobe. *rethinks* Okay, maybe not Atobe, but the other two. Another things is, can anyone from his own (former) team really provide rational feedback (re: "too close")? Because the only one I can think about is Jackal or maaaaybe Yagyuu.

Or, would he need someone who's completely not a captain figure? Either in his team or out of it?

Okay, enough pretense of intelligence. Back to squeeing now. Squee!

You're quite coherent, and make me think of good story-things. Because I think it's going to have to be Jackal, and a matter of saying the right thing without neccessarily understanding what's going on in Akaya's head.

Oooooh, Jackal most definitely will have a thing or two to say should Akaya confide his troubles. *snicker* But he always struck me as a good senpai type, so may all be well.

I'm beginning to think the lack of coherency is my usual state, actually. It's not really a bad state to be in, especially when I'm slightly to moderately drunk. ^^x
