Momo remembered going from being a bit worried about Akutsu's dismissive contempt to being a little alarmed at his absolute, devouring, manic focus on Ryouma, once the game heated up. At no point had Momo really been surprised, though. Even then, he'd taken it pretty much for granted that Echizen could hold any fire barehanded, on the court.

Mmm... ^__^ God, that was good. There are at least three or four levels of subtext to that conversation about genuinely bad tennis players, and I LOVE stuff like that. *squeals happily* However, you may just seduce me into actually liking Momoshirou. Momo is the only, and I mean, literally, the ONLY character besides Nanjirou I've seen so far in the series and on fansites that I've actually put any effort into actively disliking, and now you're making me like him. XD While you keel us with UST. *dies* It's getting to the point where I'm checking both your journals about three times a day, just to see if you updated. ;.;

And also, *hugs Ryouma*. GodDAMN that boy needs it with a father like that. *pulls face*

Eehee, yes, come to the dark side! I'm quite fond of not-an-idiot!Momo; he strikes me as one of the most caring characters. I try to do justice to the hints we get, especially in the manga, that he really does have a sharp mind to go with the goofy grin and testosterone overcharge...

This branch is going slower than most, though. *sighs*
