Niou and Yagyuu become a doubles pair, and the game continues. Drama, I-3

Masaharu opened his mouth to ask a pointed question about why it was Yukimura making all these decisions and announcing them, and not the captain standing, silent and uncomfortable, behind the Trinity. He closed it again, with a smooth look, at Sanada's burning glare.

So much to love about this part! [squeals quietly] Right, then. Yukimura? I think I'm falling just a tiny bit in love with him--the protectiveness! The courtesy! The brute squad--er, I mean, Sanada! The way he handled the faculty advisor! [fangirls]

Also, the voice you've given Niou amuses the fuck out of me, especially his nicknames for the trio. [grins]

*giggling* It struck me to wonder where such (really) corny nicknames for the team came from; where else but Niou? And that kind of meant that he developed a whole lot of them for ones he's just a bit envious of. Such an evil boy.

I'm extrapolating madly for Yukimura; most of it is really the fault of his seiyuu. *beams approvingly upon unknown seiyuu* ^____^

~~~The fourth of their little party, Marui, preened amusingly about that.~~~

Yeah! Bunta!!! {glomps}

~~~They didn't get really slaughtered until the Munificent Three decided to get in on the action.~~~

Auh, poor babies. {snickers}.

~~~Honestly, he was starting to wonder why they hadn't just made Yukimura captain this year and had done with it.~~~

gods! I loved this entire section (what's this about Bunta being a genius, eh? The whole return hitting the net thing, is it?)--especially the Yukimaru bits (yes, I'm a crazy Yuki fan. ~_~ one of many, I'm sure... pretty pretty boy... pretty pretty voice...)

~~~Yukimura's eyes narrowed and glinted, the smile fading as his mouth hardened.... the husky voice was chill and precise as a surgical scalpel... Yukimura was being perfectly courteous... except that he was definitely giving orders. And whatever resistance the advisor might have been able to muster in face of that cold, diamond sharp surety folded when Sanada stepped to Yukimura's shoulder and added his own, much less subtle, threat to Yukimura's.~~~

{squeals with fangirlish delight} gods damn! I *love* this boy! I do, I do! {panting in a puddle of fangirl goo}

~~~Yagyuu, the Perfect Gentleman, the apple of the administrative eye, had a problem with authority.~~~

{eyes sparkle} ooooooh..... {evil little happy wolfish grin}

~~~Now, now Masaharu thought he had the key.~~~

{blinks} ACK! These parts are way too short! No time to stop and reflect; must read part three. NOW!!!

Yukimura rules. Totally. I mean, really, who else could possibly keep all these crazies in line?

{slowly} I think..... Yukimura is *the* *one* character...who I would literally fangirl over.... completely.....because... because... {sputters}

He's beyond words...

I mean, even in the puzzle picture... He's standing there, looking all sad and melancholy (except his eyes--damn they look sharp and promising retribution) and the others are all standing around him... *(Sanada right at his left shoulder, of course, and if the look on *His* face isn't scary...) and Niou to his right (yeah, another scary look), and Kirihara bending forward in front of Yuki, right next to Bunta, and both are just *staring* at the "camera" like they're saying "I dare ya ta try something...."

{shakes head grinning}

Yukimura is the... {grins} Emperor, ne? The true handler/manipulator... and he does it so damn *sincerely* too.... It's like, he's the only one who ever gave a fuck about these boys and that's one of the reasons they adore/idolize him so much that they'd do just about anything for him...even curb they're natural...tendencies towards "mischief"....

*squeals* You've seen the Rikkai puzzle pic? I have yet to track down a shot of that one. *pouts* Brilliant marketing idea, those puzzles.

Yep. Seiichi's a sweetheart... right up until someone crosses him. And, really, sort of Wendy-esque, if Wendy kicked ass and took names as well as reading bedtime stories.

I own the puzzle, actually. ^.^ Picked up the last one at the toy store. If you want, I can see if they can get more? They're like, $30, though... umm.. yeah, 2850 yen for the 500 piece.

And have you *seen* the singles shots? They're baby puzzles, but they're of Tezuka... and Atobe... and I forget the others... ^.^;;; Still!!!

{puzzles at 'Wendy' reference and then...} Ha ha! Oh, dear gods... Bunny!! New Piccy idea for ya! Where are you? Bunny? Bunny! Are you following this thread???

*mournful* I would love one, but I don't allow myself to buy the gewgaws. If I ever started it would never stop; I have such impulse control problems when it comes to the Shiny. I have seen the singles ones, though! *wolf whistles*

{blinks} {tilts head} {blinks again}

All the extras. Wall scrolls, puzzles, keychains, pencil boards, notepads, stickers, plushies...

ah... and the postcards, and pins, and the window clings, and the pens, and the trading cards, and the role playing cards, and the collecters cards, and the hand towels, and the jerseys, and....

{nodsnods} I understand... It can get... {clears throat} pricey...

OMG, I'm so sorry. Andrea's comments always make me "ooh"! Just as much as this fic does.

First off, I would like to say as Muse Police I am so proud that they are behaving properly.

Second, Yukimura = POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!! The characterization of our little girl is so wonderful. The natural leadership and the polite evil so befits him it's so easy to believe why he would be buchou and not Sandork.

Niou is so cute, very different from the way he is normally portrayed in but still so appropriate. He is so being tortured by Yagyuu there and the "Sensei" probably knows it too.

Enjoyinh this IMMENSELY!! Now off to the third!

*nods* Yep, the Muse Police definitely have a commendation coming. ^_-

*thoughtful* I'm really not sure where it came from, but I have a very strong feeling that Niou doesn't consider himself evil. Possibly just his general lack of repentance, even when he's being 'Yagyuu'. Now, Yagyuu, I think, knows the danger inside himself. It makes for interesting dynamics.

I really, really like the way you're building the sense of a team here (especially since it's not the Rikkai we see now, but very much how they must have been a year or two back), but without letting go of the Yagyuu/Niou dynamic, either. ♥ Niou's observation skills make a wonderful sort of sense--not a data specialist like Yanagi, but observant enough that he can be a trickster--you have much more success at playing tricks on people (or impersonating them--and I've loved the references to that copying, but without making a Big Huge Deal about them) if you're a people-watcher and understand how they move/react.

Your Niou is hitting all the right buttons for me, but I'm also massively in love with your Yukimura and the way Sanada quietly but with such a strong presence behind him, supports Yukimura. ♥ ♥

*nodnod* Watching Niou be 'Yagyuu' it really struck me that he must be a people-watcher to be able to take on that public persona.

*puzzled* I actually started out intending to write just Yagyuu and Niou, but the rest of the team just crept in. Like they were part of the definition for those two. Not sure if that's Konomi-sensei or just me. They are a ton of fun, though.
