Dear Readers,

LJ has so disgusted me with their attitude toward fic and fandom, their creeping censorship, and their utter lack of care for or attention to we their content providers that I no longer feel comfortable posting here. All entries on this journal will be replaced with links to my off-site archive. They will be left unlocked but no further entries of any kind will be made.

If you'd like to keep following my fic, all of my stories are archived on my web site, which I have good hopes will be a stable location. As stable as anything gets on the internet, anyway. If you prefer reading in a journal format, new fic is also posted publicly on my DW account, which is my new home.

All of the FMA and PoT stories are up at the new site! Some of them even have spiffy new section titles, so if you wanted to browse through my old TezuAto or ShishiTori or MomoRyo, they're all listed individually under Mirror Writing in the index menu.

At this point, the site is fairly well settled in and any usability feedback will be vastly appreciated. Are the menus easy to read and navigate? Are the directions for the comments clear and apparent? Does anything need more elaboration or explanation? Should I include a quick guide to the arcs on the front page?

I'm in the home stretch of file transfer, now, and soon my fic and comment conversations will be safe from LJ, no matter what happens. I hope to resume new-fic posting in another week or two.

Dear Readers,

The new and improved fic site is up and running. I'm uploading fic whenever I have a moment, and am about two thirds through the FMA fic, should anyone want a stroll down memory lane.

If you encounter any problems browsing, please let me know. (Aside from the problems of the included fanart not loading properly, I'm wrestling with that one already.)

Dear Readers,

Given the way the LJ administration seems bound and determined to foster an atmosphere of intolerance, witch-hunting and paranoia, I am thinking of making my fic posts a different way.

I am in the process of transferring all my existing fic into a site system that will support threaded comments, email notification of replies to your comments and comment subscription. (Plus tags and indexes and all that good stuff.) Once this is up and running, all my new fic posts will go up there, and I will post a fake-cut style notification of it here.

It should act just like being directed to a different journal from a comm, only the 'journal' in this case will be offsite, and LJ won't be able to do a darn thing about it.

So actual fic will be coming soon, I hope!

Server migration has been accomplished, which, hopefully, no one noticed happening. The fic site seems to be all in order at its new home, and has a new layout plus some little refinements. All fic is posted up to date there.

More writing is happening, honest, it's just... not getting posted yet.

In the meantime, absolutely everyone should go read The Otohime's Revenge, a tenipuri pirate AU by [livejournal.com profile] lysapadin. It's got action and fluff and smut, what more could you ask for?

All right, I have finally become sufficiently disgusted with the MPAA and all its works to get off my duff and put together my own rating system. Henceforth, my fics will be rated on the following scale:

These are based on the intensity (hence the I) of the story in question.

I-1: light and undemanding; no passionate engagement required of the reader; likely to be fluffy.

I-2: not entirely innocent; heavier than air, lighter than water; may refer to the joy and anguish of life but will not describe either in any detail.

I-3: moderately intense; characters may be experiencing emotional dilemmas, may have to deal with mental or physical injury, may be dealing with emotional or physical intimacy; likely to involve tension and resolution.

I-4: fairly demanding; characters are likely to be deeply embroiled in emotions and experiences that could be overwhelming; descriptions of experiences, whether positive or negative, will be explicit.

I-5: heavy; involves very intense emotions and/or experiences, either the heights or the depths; note that sex alone is very unlikely to get this rating.

Putting the three parts of my rating system together should give you a decent idea of where the story is going and whether you want to go along. If a story has a genre of Romance with Porn, and a rating of I-4, and two particular characters are mentioned in the blurb, then you can take it that those two characters are dealing with the contretemps of becoming romantically attached and intimate, and will wind up having pretty explicit sex as they explore these issues. If the genre were just Romance, with that rating, you should assume the characters are having an intense emotional time of it. Angst with that rating would indicate the characters are getting emotionally or physically beaten down, and the process will be described in some detail.

I hope this will be reasonably intuitive. *tips hat*
