I really am quite fond of Bubblegum Crisis-Tokyo 2040. I like the animation style and palatte. I like the voices. I love the motorcycles.
But I can't help feeling that it would be so much better if Leon had just gotten together with Daley, and left Priss for Linna.
I mean, really.
It isn't often I have a serious urge to rewrite the love lives of characters I like. And Priss rocks my socks, and Leon is a terribly loveable dork. But...
*sighs*
Linna and Priss just have so much chemistry, right from the start. And Leon has so much chemistry with Daley. I mean, that little scene in the car, trying to kill the huge boomer from underground? Love. Daley is just what Leon needs. And Linna and Daley are about the only two characters who don't get any romantic action at all. Unless you count Linna punching out the sexual-harassing manager. And if Leon and Daley get together then Leon will get his romance and still be out of Linna's way.
And I'd go write it, you know, to satisfy my urges. But it just doesn't work. Both Leon and Priss are just so damn... straight.
*sighs some more*
