Akira moaned as Shirogane’s cock pushed deep into him.

And I think he would, yeah. He doesn't strike me as someone who wibbles a lot over the 'omg they love Ryuuko not me' thing, but I can definitely see him being very pleased with knowing that he has his own value as Akira. And has personal value to Shirogane.

Seriously, Shirogane topping Akira has got to be one of the hottest things ever. I will never, ever forgive the anime for changing their dynamic.

Actually, Shirogane topping anyone would be hot, but with Akira you get the added 2-hit-combo bonus for hotness. *coughts*

Abso-freaking-lutely. Anime should in fact be commented on because they screwed up the characterization so completely and thoroughly it must have taken them a real effort to do to. They spared no one. Uke!Shirogane and badass!seme!Akira left me as "...wtf?" as seme!Kou.

Not that there's something wrong with seme!Kou, but Kou is definitely a submissive as in a D/s sense regardless of the top/bottom role. I'd say that the fact he wears and fights with bondage buckles on his arms and legs in his rei form is a big clue. I'm ready to bet he wears a collar with "Property of Ryuuko, return if found wandering&hearts" under his suspiciously high-collared jacket.>_>

Yeah, I gotta say, the more I see of Kou, the more he strikes me as pretty sub. I don't think it's an accident that he looks a lot younger and more innocent in his rei form and that we first saw him that way when Ryuuko showed up.

It's the glasses, they make him look older. Smoking, as well.

The weapons shin/rei use are somehow tied to their soul or shaped by their energy or something like that, I think. Can I say Kou's choice of attire/weapon is so very Freudian or shall I wait a bit longer?

Because if I say that, then I'd have to discuss Kou's dependent relationship with Ryuuko. And I'd have to start on Lulu's whip as well, and that would take waaaay to long.

*grins* The weaponry definitely says something about all of them. Ryuuko's scythe kind of fascinates me on that score--big, complicated to use, and with somewhat sinister associations, but those rings on it are reminiscent of a priest's staff.

I keep wondering if Kou's claws have some association with this 'beast' they keep referring to or the way Ruru calls him a 'puppy'.

That's exactly what I was thinking about. Those leather buckles scream 'leash' to me, and those 'beast' remarks makes me positive that Ryuuko held Kou's leash even in a more literal sense.

As for the weapons, they definitely say something about their owners. Nanaya has a knife, which is totally a thug weapon, even if a bit more set towards butchery. Akira too starts off with knife - he is just a thug at the beginning - but then finds purpose and grows into something else.

Ryuuko's scythe is extremely fascinating. It's completely on a different league compared to all the other weapons, included Shirogane's katana - which, is it just the raving Final Fantasy VII fangirl in me or is it really longer than a normal katana? - and it throws a creepy feeling on what exactly a King's job is. Kind of makes me wonder what Ryuuko thinks of himself.

*wry* No, Shirogane's sword is /seriously/ longer than a normal katana. I'm really looking foward to seeing him fight in the shadow world.

I thought so, but I fangirl FF7 way too much and tend to scream 'Masamune!' in the direction of nearly every katana I see so I wasn't sure. As if I wasn't busy enough relating (crack-ly relating, of course) every red-eyed and black-haired bishie I see back to Vincent Valentine.

Yeah, I totally didn't think for a moment that Akira's shin self could be related with Vincent. Or that Shirogane (silver hair + blue eyes + extralong sword/summon) could be some weird Sephiroth/Cloud clone Hojo spawned. Not for a moment. *shifty eyes, hides the crack just in case*
