One of the cockatoos nibbled on his ear. "Your feathers will get ragged if you preen them any more," she told him, winding her arms around his shoulders.

Oooooooh. Very nice. I like what this says about Clan D.

(Also, a slightly spazzy D is a very lovely mental image. *grin*)

I really like this. It captures for me that strange and fascinating relationship D has with his, well, pets. And, by extension, the way he reacts to humans. And I like how he, being younger, seems somewhat less /poised/ in this piece.

Thank you! I quite like the idea of how D might have been when he was younger, and maybe not so glinty.
