Bunta knew perfectly well what Jackal was doing, of course, but he rarely turned down the opening. It was one of the reasons Jackal found his partner endlessly entertaining; his dramatics were always perfectly sincere and entirely deliberate, at the same time.

I love this. JaBun is so rare in English fandom for some reason. T_T;

I absolutely adored the French irregular thing. XD XD It's something that I can relate to but alas I don't have the same frustrations as Bunta since I know there are many more complicated languages (like English >_> talk about irregular).

Characterization is once again well done. :D I like how you played out their dynamics off court.
