Hughes is called on to intervene in a fight between Roy and Ed. Drama, I-4.

"This," Maas wiggled the carafe in his left hand, "is Gracia's special blend, which she presciently gave me a stash of in case I ever really needed to get Roy's attention at work. My wife is brilliant. Now," he repeated, "what got them going?"

He does, and I really think that Ed developing any kind of genuine attachment to him would be one of them, given how aware he is of manipulating Ed into doing his errands.

Awww! I love the whole thing, but I absolutely adore the ending. If Hughes and Gracia weren't so great together, I'd seriously consider kidnapping Hughes for my own. And the part with Ed and Roy just yelling their heads off at each other, and their reactions afterward - I don't know how to describe it any better, but that just felt so very realistic, to me. I could easily see it hapenning.

Back to fanfiction. Love how Hughes kept on commenting on his love for Gracia and how wonderful she was, and all done in an offhand manner. It's jsut so Hughes. Love it how even when he's serious he's still in a haze of true love. Oh, how I LOVE Hughes.

And it makes perfect sense that Roy would be blind to things that are personally important.

I could feel the love of family in this. Oh, I love. And you've Hughes, which make everything much better.

Hughes is wonderful. Hughes can fix anything. I'm going to have to write a story about his not-quite-deadly injuries and how he's sent off to recover from them in some remote location. I need some explanation, after all.

Ohhhhh *happniness* I like that. I -really- do. Not quite deadly injuries make the world go around. Hopefully, the place he's staying at -will- be peaceful, and not be disturbed by hearing news of Roy attempting his coup.

I mean it would really be annoying to have to give up recovery timeto lug his injured self to save Roy's arse.

Hmm.
