This was simply lovely. I have to admit that when I first started to read your Bleach stories, I was more of a IchigoxRukia fan. But I think I can love RenjixRukia as well. I love the way you write these two, they're simply adorable.

"I'd wish for everyone to remember what our duty really is. And pay attention to it again, and stop wasting their time like that."

I simply adore that bit right there. One of the things that I found so appalling about Soul Society is that the shinigami seem to only care about getting rid of the Hollows and not about reuniting the innocent souls with their loves ones etc. Err, at least, that's what I think. ^^;

*beams* Thank you! Yeah, at the start of the series I thought Ichigo and Rukia were unspeakably cute together, but then the Renji flashbacks started and I was just a goner.

And, yeah. The souls in Rukongai really seem to get a harsh deal, and I'm not sure yet whether it's supposed to be that way or whether the shinigami or the Court of Pure Souls in general should be doing more about that. That was one of the things that made me think 'asuras' instead of 'angels' for the shinigami.
