Relena: *drops her luggage and puts her hands on her hips* You put on my song. What did you expect? Now, if you don't mind please, I'd like some fic.

Branch: O_O

Relena: I'm sick of the whole Princess gig; and I'm sick of carrying nearly all the feminine roles in this damn show. I want to be a pilot.

Branch: *cautiously* Well, I'm with you there...

Relena: *relentlessly* So we'll do an AU. I want Treize to know who I am and decide he wants both Peacecrafts.

Zechs: *chokes*

Relena: *rolls her eyes* Not /that/ way, Onii-sama, honestly. *sniffs* Perhaps he can decide you're too depressed to be of political use and train me up for that instead.

Branch: *a bit weakly* That's not a fic, that's an arc. That's an epic!

Relena: *calmly* Your point?

Branch: I don't have that much Pat Benatar!

Relena: I'm sure we can work around that.

Treize: *crosses his legs, covering a smile* This should be... interesting.

*rumples hair* I'm probably going to post the first story of it tomorrow. *wry* Relena is really good at getting her way when she's wound up. And I /have/ always thought she'd make a better pilot than Zechs.

*snerks* There are definitely some hints between her and Treize already. Not exactly romantic, but... loaded. My Treize always has liked things that explode.

The thing about Relena, in my opinion, is that she's a very controlled person, and those sort of people are often quite driven and passionate underneath the immediate surface, and that mix of self-restraint and intense emotion would probably make for a very good pilot -- heck, just look at Heero. And that's as opposed to, say, Trowa, who always struck me as a lot more genuinely dissociated from what's going on around him.

*grins* For Treize, I'd imagine that sex I nearly typed "Zechs"... ack and romance are just part of the whole bag of interaction with other people, AND he really likes winding the people around him up (they're more useful that way!). And confusing people. And... yeah. Looks like I'm not going anywhere in particular with this *sheepish smile*

*nodnod* I think Relena is much more practical and logical than Zechs.

*grins* I have /always/ thought Treize flirts with his subordinates just to wind them up. He's such an evil tease. Undoubtedly to keep everyone off balance and play on the whole attraction/loyalty thing. I figure, actually, he might aim Relena at political leadership himself, and then act as her General; he's always seemed more interested in the implementation of honorable warfare than political leadership as such.

Definitely. Relena is one of the few characters who has a perspective that isn't majorly skewed (of the pilots, Quatre is the only one who, apart from the whole "I'm just a clone thing", seems to have a balanced outlook -- and he's the strategic vision/one who pulls the team together; then the others who don't seem to be considerably messed up in some way would be Sally, Noin and Cathy).

*nods* Treize is the sort of person who cultivates peoples' attention and then manipulates it, and flirting is definitely one way (out of many) to draw them to him. And that certainly sounds like something he would do; he always seemed to me to have some distaste, even, for the governmental politics (although that could just be more that he found the politicians themselves boring? xD).
