More DNA speculation

Hm. So...what if the Black Wings was created specifically to hunt down and/or control the /other/ Hikari artworks? Thus, when a (speculative) Niwa came to steal it, that resonated with part of the art's purpose--hence Dark.

I do think the anime supposition, that Black Wings was supposed to be an artwork that lived and had a soul, is probably right. But the way Dark goes hunting other art is presented to us as significant too. Which makes the way the Hikari (and Krad) hunt after /Dark/ a mirror image, which does suit the way imagery is used in the whole story--mirrors reflecting mirrors, always things doubled and split.

Argh! This needs to be more finished! I can't even /speculate/ very well on the background, there isn't enough of it!

darn sensei's attention span! Darn it to heck!

There's a flashback in volume ten that drove everybody batty when it came out; basically it looks like Dark actually saved a Niwa thief? I don't know. *stabs sensei again* And there's the dream where Satoshi is painting Krad, too.

That was the worst part of MyDec and part of what is holding me up over Don't Panic, actually. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ONNNN. I don't want to be Joss'd!

It's incredibly hard to fit what we do know into any kind of coherent whole. I would give really quite a lot to sit Kousuke down and talk until I find out everything he knows, since he's the one who usually makes sense. I mean, Argentine is clearly some kind of rough draft of the Black Wings, and knows it, and it seems like the Sacred Maiden is supposed to fit into this somehow, but... buggered if I can see how.

Unless the measure of life and soul is the ability to love and be loved. Which would definitely place Krad as... how to put it... as the inverse creation. The negative reflection of Dark, who is the primary (though incomplete) face of the Black Wings. Actually, that makes a lot of sense, given the color coding. Dark can love, though not in a complete fashion while he's split and bound the way he currently is; Krad can have completion, but not of love--only of obssession, and only when he absorbs and erases the Hikari.

Of course, at this rate, even if you are Joss'd, it won't be for /years/ yet. *sighs*
