So, I started watching Granting You A Dreamlike Life, and it is absolutely hilarious. Luo Fusheng is such a little shit. I really hope that the heroine continues to be an equal little shit, because the two of them snipping at each other is huge fun to watch. Honestly, my only confusion thus far is why stuffy actor-brother did not just instantly go "wow, look mei-mei, it's you as a guy! Hey, my dude, do you want to take my sister off my hands, because you're clearly made for each other." Especially since Fusheng is probably the only human force that could get the girl to all her rehearsals on time.

To be sure, I'm beginning to suspect that the widespread disappointment over the... let us say, looseness of the romantic plot and characterization is because the director really, really wanted to make an action flick. All the complex staging/shooting time (and accompanying budget) so far is dedicated to the action scenes. But hey, more Zhu Yilong action scenes for us. Win.

In related news, I continue to be deeply impressed by how well that Shen Wei/Luo Fusheng vid works. Both because it's some brilliant blending work and also because... it actually works. *still faintly boggled*

Isn't it? I mean, lots of vids have good clipping on display, but that's just some /masterful/ cutting and blending and background work.
