Out of 20 meetings, board members were absent for:

10 Francesca Coppa (50% absentee)

8 Naomi Novik (40% absentee)

7 Ira Gladkova (35% absentee)

4 Julia Beck (20% absentee)

4 Jenny Scott-Thompson (20% absentee)

1 Nikisha Sanders (5% absentee)

1 Kristen Murphy (5% absentee)

And it's not like I begrudge anyone their therapy-fic, but you'd think that the obligations she signed up and campaigned for herself would fit in there /somewhere/. Evidently not.

No, I quite love the fic myself, but fic takes *time* to write (looks at my own pile of unfinished work), and she's got a small pile of other things to do as well. Being a board member should really take precedent. 40-50% absent? Really? That's pathetic.

I want to like AO3, I really do... I like it in theory, I mostly like it in practice, I very much enjoy having it there, and they do good rescue work. But man, they're screwed up on the organization side. Don't vote on a name, vote on actual deeds!
