Yes! Thanks to begging the LJ-sec developer for a fix, I got LJ-sec to work on my work PC and have deleted all my LJ entries in one fell swoop!

There were over 2800 of the suckers, so thank goodness it /did/ work, that would have been really gruesome to do by hand.

So my journal is all cleaned and tidied up and points to me here (and also to the codesharing comm). *pleased with the world*

So, anyone whose LJ-sec is not working, hit up the lj-sec comm on LJ (very Escher, that) and pick up the patch that the very kind dev has provided.

*wry* Yeah. It's been locked up since I moved here and copied everything over, and I figured I just don't want LJ to have /any/ of my sensitive data. Not after this latest snafu.

I'm down to 380 entries left. I have to do it manually. I'm not yet sure whether I'll delete all entries, but at least the older ones will go.

*victory sign* You have to download LJ-sec, and then replace the .exe file with the one linked in the comments to my entry on the comm. And you might have to run the delete twice to catch em all. I timed out a few times over the course of the whole run. But it was done in less than ten minutes. And there were glorias sung.

*serenely* I am running it right now and it is a lovely, cleansing sort of feeling.

I suppose the next step will be getting back into editing the fic journal so that everything points over here and to AO3.

*rueful* Yeah, thank goodness I did that years ago, for my fic journal. It was only two hundred entries to re-do, at the time.

I may see about importing that to DW, so I have a backup of the /comments/.

Seriously! Admittedly, it was essentially a rollback to an older form of authentication, but they got the patch right up. I was delighted.
