Wow, I feel more like an alien than ever.

Don't get me wrong: I love Lizzie and her swords. It's just that I've started to have the sense that I'm the only person in the world who wasn't really surprised (she's always had a will of iron, and her mother is who she is; wasn't it always likely that she'd be able to fight and fearless and competent under the right circumstances?), and the only one who doesn't have a sense that this really changes anything about her relationships. (Why would it? She's always loved Ciel and she's always fought for him, whether he knew it or not, and whether it was in ways he recognized or not. And he's always loved her, although not necessarily in all the ways she'd like. He knows she has courage, or he should. What's different now?)

Which isn't to say I'm not willing to be convinced that this changes the relevant relationships, or about the plausibility and goodness of any and all Sebastian/Lizzy/Ciel. I totally am. I'm just . . . bemused. Everyone else is seeing it, and it is invisible to my eyes, and that's always kinda disorienting.

the only friend I have who is reading Kuroshitsuji hasn't caught up yet, but I NEED SOMEONE TO BE HAPPY ABOUT THIS LIKE I WAS!!!!

I literally squeeed and clapped my hands, I was so happy about this!! I mean I was wishing with all my heart for this since Lizzys mother showed up, but I kind of lost hope, so this just is made out of SO MUCH AWESOME!!!

Lizzy not only kicking ass, but SAVING CIEL!!! A GIRL! WITH FRILLS!! SAVING THE DAY!!!!

JUST NOT ENOUGH SQUEE IN THE WORLD!!

I just finished catching up, myself. I'd finished off the Mr. Wordsmith arc and let the chapters build up, but- Zombies! I was missing out on ZOMBIES! And- And- zombie horses! With Snake being cute and Shinigami going around making bloody messes (and TITANIC POSES OMG)! ♥ ♥ ♥

Plus there's Frances and her family kicking ass while not bothering to take names and THEN! LIZZY. Cutesy-frilly, pig-tailed Lizzy. With DUAL SWORDS. And- The AWESOME. YES. WORLDS of YES. ♥ ♥ ♥ This is the kind of girl I'd always hoped she'd someday come to be, but here she is! And I wouldn't change her for the world.

(Although I can't help but want to call this the "My heart will go on~" arc. *headdesks* Stupid connections in my stupid brain...)
