Shirogane

In my head, Shirogane was always the flamboyant one. (Most of this is based on the canon trend of kings being opposite pairs.) He was blunt to Ryuuko's softspoken-ness, uncompromising where Ryuuko is given to mercy, and generally less inclined to subtlety. This was both his nature and something of a game the two of them played, knowing themselves opposing principles. Now, however, Ryuuko is gone and he is, basically, trying to stand in for both of them, to support both of their sets of characteristics.

I also think Ryuuko's death, and the manner of it, left him with severe trust issues, but that's pretty much canon.
