PoT: Mirror Writing: The Winner Is...

Fic post from my archive.

The Winner Is...

Mizuki and Fuji play head games with each other. Psychological Drama with Edgy Porn, I-5

The slow smile that curved Shuusuke's mouth would have sent any sane person running, very far and very fast. Just as well, probably, that Hajime had never made any strong claims to sanity when he was in pursuit of a goal he wanted.

Not quite sure I like the Fuji I see in this fic, though there's nothing wrong with the fic itself. Fuji scares me.

(Oh, and I got the CD, thank you thank you thankyou!)

Actually, I really liked it. Fuji's characterisation was good, a little emphasis on his dark side but hell... he did humiliate the other boy into the ground in front of as many people as possible. He has a mean streak that's pretty hard to deny. And he wuvs the mind games!

Well yeah... liked it lots! Of course I read it for the Fuji aspect soooo hehe

Thanks for sharing!

.......

yeah.... that was... damn. This is good. Real good. Mizuki has a self-destructive streak a mile wide, but it is only there because Mizuki must win, and it is really disturbing that he ends with a boyfriend that is also obsessed with Mizuki's object of torment.

The fact that Yuuta accepts, understands, and might, just might approve of what Mizuki has done is well, reall sad. Because no matter how much he loves his brother, there will always be something in the way to stop Fuji and Yuuta from being the brothers they use to be.

Also, I wonder if either of them realises that Fuji just might have let Mizuki win, because Fuji love his brother so much that letting Mizuki win is almost like a blessing for the relationship. Or am I reading too much into this?

Either way, I love this, and I'm highly curious at the fallout on Fuji's side (or why he was angry in the first place).

BTW, love the possessiveness that is so apparent in the three of them, and maybe it's just me, but I didn't find Fuji evil or mean here. I found a Fuji that's strangely nice, and very human.

And NOW the SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! MORE! MORE! Here, have truffles!

[identity profile] naanima.livejournal.com 2004-05-17 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
MWAHAHA!

See me invade, and dump truckloads of truffles. Beside you can't end it there, not with so much things left unsaid (or shown).

Exactly, carry it off Mizuki, but just realise Fuji LET you win *feel sorry for Fuji*

Yes, the ingenious little twink does play to his own image of 'Sadistic Evil Genius' a bit too much. Someone need to shake him up a bit and make him admit that yes, he's genius and powerful, but he's also human that do get hurt. And Yuuta is an all too sore point for Fuji.

*awaits for more*

{shivers with wicked delight} aahhh...yess... there's the bastard I love so much... ^.^ And yet... damn, him, Syusuke's just so fucking wonderful! {cries}

an amazing fic... just...absolutely amazing... the play of dynamics between Mizuki and the Fujis... I'm astounded at how perfectly you've seemed to tap into them; it looks so effortlessly that it almost annoys me... Hn.

Oh, and just a quick question from the other part.... did I read that right? Syusuke's boyfriend's sister Ann? {blinks owlishly}

[identity profile] yure-chan.livejournal.com 2004-05-17 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty sure I like this dark Fuji as much as the 'innocent' one. ^^ And this is definitely a great fic that I enjoyed. Great work na!

It's indeed Ann

[identity profile] naanima.livejournal.com 2004-05-17 12:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Jsut thought I'll answer this before Emily does ^_^

Yep, Suyuuske's boyfirend's sister, Ann. Yes, Suyyuske boyfriend is Tachibana. Scroll through Emily's lj entries and you should be able to find the previous cahpters.

(Tezuka/Atobe ... Atobe/Tezuka!!! MWAHAHAHA!)

There's a third part!? *trembles in anticipation* I'm going off to draw you fanart now...*toddles off*

I'll have to look Mirror Writing up--I don't suppose you have a nice, handy dandy direct link? {looks hopeful}

And arent' addictive shows great? I think PoT has quickly replaced GW's addictiveness in my history charts. I'm impressed. Really.

I have always suspected Fuji to be a mix of innocence and steely calculation, geniuses also tend to have a dark side. I liked the fic, an alpha male kinda fight, which one submitted first. Mizuki...I tell you, he is the evil...and I like it XD

Alma

Why have I not read this before? I think the darksmut warning scared me; physical violence unsettles me.

Mental violence, on the other hand, makes me glee. I love your Fuji; he's in-character both when he's snuggling Tachibana and being sadistic to Mizuki. How can this work?

....Damn. Fuji. XD

Intrigued

[identity profile] nivell.livejournal.com 2004-05-19 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
Just wanted to say that I am currently reading your Tachibana/Fuji arc and love the way they interact with each other. It's nice seeing that Fuji can be potrayed as someone who isn't that perfect and he can lose a little bit of control when it comes to Mizuki.

Mizuki..Mizuki's just gaah. Love him and Yuuta is just so understanding and precious. Can't blame him for being possessive though. ^^

*sighs* I will be awaiting for more from you!

"It just keeps going" --and yet, two hours later I was much perturbed to hit a dead end. {pouts} more please.

Oh, yeah.... GW fandom was *amazing*... {laughs} The actual anime was *good*, had it's points, but it was the *fandom* that so carried it... And all the absolutely fantastic authors and artists; breathtaking...

Hmmm {Frowns} "FMA production"?

Ah, SM---you always remember your gateway, ne? LoL... yeah, well, we won't talk about the first season ending... I"m just glad I got my hands on the other three seasons before the dubbers did... (refused to watch the american dub due to bastardidation of favorite pairing---{shivers and mutters something that sounds suspiciously like "cousins"})

Ne, isn't anime great for English Majors, though? I mean, such beauty just waiting for comparing and contrasting and identifying themes, plot, character developement.. ^____________^

[identity profile] lady-readwolf.livejournal.com 2004-05-20 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
{blinks} oh. yeah. caught an episode of that during the last visit, but, really, I was too busy laughing my rear end off at the live action sailor moon. ^.^ And then, this visit, I got sucked in by Prince of Tennis, so, I figure... in a couple more months... maybe...

[identity profile] exwaiz.livejournal.com 2004-05-20 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
Really nice Mizuki-Yuuta interaction to end...that. Yeah...wow. I apologize for the incoherence but I'm still blinking and muttering "OMGWTF".

A great take on Fuji's character. And Mizuki's too, for that matter. It's just...wow.

[identity profile] magnolia-ceres.livejournal.com 2004-05-26 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Now actually, something inside me winced away before reading it, because Fuji x Mizuki + sex = scary~~ XD. But then I was intrigued by your writing, and I really loved your explanations for Mizuki's aims and *gushes on*. I so love your Mizuki into bits and pieces *loves Hajime-chan anyways*, and it was the end once again that turned me into a completely and utterly incoherent fangirl, like kyaaah and squee and omgLOVE! *dissolves in yummi babbling* *loves Yuuta just as much*

I'd like to read more of your Mizuki-Yuuta things ^___^. Moremoremore? *makes grabby motions*

[identity profile] chinawolf.livejournal.com 2004-08-31 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Jesus, what a mindfuck!

I love the way you write Mizuki and Yuuta. Way too many people think that teenagers only do fluffy loff, and aren't as capable of playing at mindgames. Your Yuuta is deliciously strong. As for Mizuki, wow, what a gamble that boy takes, nothing but applause for his braveness from here.

The only thing that leaves me wondering is why Syuusuke would do that. To win some sort of game over Mizuki? Hardly, as he's smart enough to figure out that he just gave Mizuki what he wanted, even if he did take him down a notch on the way. The mind boggles as to why Fuji would do this while he is with Kippei, he doesn't strike me as the cheating type. Then again, maybe that's not what their relationship is like, or perhaps I just have to keep on reading to find out, which I will do now.

Absolutely mindblowing fic you're writing. Thanks for sharing.

[identity profile] flamesword.livejournal.com 2004-11-21 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
*dies* ow. my brain hurts. You've just kinda...rewired it for me. Yeah.

........iwillnotsayitiwillnotsayitiwillnotsayit.....

gah. I love your Mizuki. *brain is broken* omfg, I hate j00! lol.

I have no idea how you do it. I hate Mizuki/Yuuta....but oh my GOD I love the way you write it. I feel rather odd now. Am highly curious about Syuusuke's motivations, so I shall have to go find the next chapter. (and if Kippei is not in it I will be highly annoyed with you! want more!) But. holy shit. I absolutely love your Mizuki, and him and Yuuta are squeee! In fact Yuuta is very squee all on his own. But they just....gah...fit so....perfectly...together. My god. Brain hurts. *shakes head and wanders off muttering*
