PoT: Mirror Writing: The Winner Is...
Fic post from my archive.
Mizuki and Fuji play head games with each other.
The slow smile that curved Shuusuke's mouth would have sent any sane person running, very far and very fast. Just as well, probably, that Hajime had never made any strong claims to sanity when he was in pursuit of a goal he wanted.

(Oh, and I got the CD, thank you thank you thankyou!)

(You're most welcome!)

Well yeah... liked it lots! Of course I read it for the Fuji aspect soooo hehe
Thanks for sharing!

yeah.... that was... damn. This is good. Real good. Mizuki has a self-destructive streak a mile wide, but it is only there because Mizuki must win, and it is really disturbing that he ends with a boyfriend that is also obsessed with Mizuki's object of torment.
The fact that Yuuta accepts, understands, and might, just might approve of what Mizuki has done is well, reall sad. Because no matter how much he loves his brother, there will always be something in the way to stop Fuji and Yuuta from being the brothers they use to be.
Also, I wonder if either of them realises that Fuji just might have let Mizuki win, because Fuji love his brother so much that letting Mizuki win is almost like a blessing for the relationship. Or am I reading too much into this?
Either way, I love this, and I'm highly curious at the fallout on Fuji's side (or why he was angry in the first place).
BTW, love the possessiveness that is so apparent in the three of them, and maybe it's just me, but I didn't find Fuji evil or mean here. I found a Fuji that's strangely nice, and very human.
And NOW the SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! MORE! MORE! Here, have truffles!

*nodnod* Fuji definitely has a dark streak, and most of the time I quite like that in him. I just wasn't quite prepared for how far it went in this story. Never believe the Fuji-muse when he says it won't be that bad; especially if he's smiling.
Glad you liked it!

I'm fairly sure Fuji is aware, by the end, of what the whole interlude was about for Mizuki; while he may not have let Mizuki win, he did let him carry off his victory without interference.
*nods* Very human. Which, I think, may be what Tachibana needs to get through to the ingenious little twink. Fuji plays to his own image a little too much, sometimes.

See me invade, and dump truckloads of truffles. Beside you can't end it there, not with so much things left unsaid (or shown).
Exactly, carry it off Mizuki, but just realise Fuji LET you win *feel sorry for Fuji*
Yes, the ingenious little twink does play to his own image of 'Sadistic Evil Genius' a bit too much. Someone need to shake him up a bit and make him admit that yes, he's genius and powerful, but he's also human that do get hurt. And Yuuta is an all too sore point for Fuji.
*awaits for more*

an amazing fic... just...absolutely amazing... the play of dynamics between Mizuki and the Fujis... I'm astounded at how perfectly you've seemed to tap into them; it looks so effortlessly that it almost annoys me... Hn.
Oh, and just a quick question from the other part.... did I read that right? Syusuke's boyfriend's sister Ann? {blinks owlishly}
no subject
It's indeed Ann
Yep, Suyuuske's boyfirend's sister, Ann. Yes, Suyyuske boyfriend is Tachibana. Scroll through Emily's lj entries and you should be able to find the previous cahpters.
(Tezuka/Atobe ... Atobe/Tezuka!!! MWAHAHAHA!)

Mizuki and Fuji scary!!!

*sighs* Ah, yes, Mirror Writing, the killer coral of arcs. It started out as a nice, simple TezuAto, and then sprouted a Tachibana/Fuji pre-story, and now this. The Ann talking to Yuuta thing is actually a reference back to Long Exposure, the Tachibana/Fuji section.
*rakes hand through hair* I've got to revise these and post them to my fic site some time soon; provided the muses shut up long enough to let me... This is the most addictive show I've ever written in.

And arent' addictive shows great? I think PoT has quickly replaced GW's addictiveness in my history charts. I'm impressed. Really.

I hit GW fairly late, which was probably a good thing; the fandom, at least in fossil form, fascinated me almost more than the actual show. It's one of the things that entertains me about PoT: I doubt the fans can come up with anything more cracked out than the official writers! PoT has a ways to go before overtaking my FMA production, but it's headed there. Nothing has sucked me in like either of those besides Sailor Moon, which was my gateway anime. My supplier was canny enough to give me the first season ending in both sub and dub forms for critical comparison. Alas for the weaknesses of english majors! I was a gonner.

Mental violence, on the other hand, makes me glee. I love your Fuji; he's in-character both when he's snuggling Tachibana and being sadistic to Mizuki. How can this work?
....Damn. Fuji. XD
Intrigued
Mizuki..Mizuki's just gaah. Love him and Yuuta is just so understanding and precious. Can't blame him for being possessive though. ^^
*sighs* I will be awaiting for more from you!
no subject
Yeah, I really don't think I could write physical violence, so no worries there. This was hard enough.
Re: Intrigued
*nodnod* Fuji is human, for all he seems to like pretending otherwise every now and then. And he and Mizuki and Yuuta are so... wound into each other; I knew I wouldn't escape writing about them for long. ^_^

Oh, yeah.... GW fandom was *amazing*... {laughs} The actual anime was *good*, had it's points, but it was the *fandom* that so carried it... And all the absolutely fantastic authors and artists; breathtaking...
Hmmm {Frowns} "FMA production"?
Ah, SM---you always remember your gateway, ne? LoL... yeah, well, we won't talk about the first season ending... I"m just glad I got my hands on the other three seasons before the dubbers did... (refused to watch the american dub due to bastardidation of favorite pairing---{shivers and mutters something that sounds suspiciously like "cousins"})
Ne, isn't anime great for English Majors, though? I mean, such beauty just waiting for comparing and contrasting and identifying themes, plot, character developement.. ^____________^

*pulls self together*
FMA--Fullmetal Alchemist. You haven't been sucked in yet? Oh, you must! It's incredibly addictive, albeit quite angst-ridden. It was what I was obsessed with before tenipuri, which came to me just when I needed something cheerful. And, hey, it'll be something to do while we wait for AO to feed our wild cravings with the next batch of tenipuri subs.

A great take on Fuji's character. And Mizuki's too, for that matter. It's just...wow.

*serious nod* Every reasonable person fears the Fuji. *grins* 'Course, no one ever said Mizuki was reasonable...

I'd like to read more of your Mizuki-Yuuta things ^___^. Moremoremore? *makes grabby motions*

There will certainly be more. These two have a part in Confluence (two fics up the page), and I think their aftermath from that story is in line right after the ShishiTori backstory. *squints* Kind of hard to tell, sometimes, for the bunnies jostling each other... Oh, yeah, and you might like the end of Clove Apple; the focus is FujiTachi, but Mizuki gets his two cents in. *evil grin*

I love the way you write Mizuki and Yuuta. Way too many people think that teenagers only do fluffy loff, and aren't as capable of playing at mindgames. Your Yuuta is deliciously strong. As for Mizuki, wow, what a gamble that boy takes, nothing but applause for his braveness from here.
The only thing that leaves me wondering is why Syuusuke would do that. To win some sort of game over Mizuki? Hardly, as he's smart enough to figure out that he just gave Mizuki what he wanted, even if he did take him down a notch on the way. The mind boggles as to why Fuji would do this while he is with Kippei, he doesn't strike me as the cheating type. Then again, maybe that's not what their relationship is like, or perhaps I just have to keep on reading to find out, which I will do now.
Absolutely mindblowing fic you're writing. Thanks for sharing.

*nods* I remember some of the stuff we did to each other's heads at that age, and these guys are sharper on the draw than anyone I remember dealing with!
I did do my best to explain Fuji's motives in the next story. If it still doesn't make sense after that, tell me? I'm working on mass revisions right now, and I know what I tried to do with him is pretty complex.
At any rate, thanks again!

........iwillnotsayitiwillnotsayitiwillnotsayit.....
gah. I love your Mizuki. *brain is broken* omfg, I hate j00! lol.
I have no idea how you do it. I hate Mizuki/Yuuta....but oh my GOD I love the way you write it. I feel rather odd now. Am highly curious about Syuusuke's motivations, so I shall have to go find the next chapter. (and if Kippei is not in it I will be highly annoyed with you! want more!) But. holy shit. I absolutely love your Mizuki, and him and Yuuta are squeee! In fact Yuuta is very squee all on his own. But they just....gah...fit so....perfectly...together. My god. Brain hurts. *shakes head and wanders off muttering*
no subject
*coughs* That is, I hope your brain isn't too badly off kilter. ^_^
Mizuki is one of those characters that can go several ways. One is parody, and that's where the anime has taken him lately; he's comic relief. I, however, like to take his manga/initial anime character and try to figure out what could make him act like that. And my suppositions dovetailed so nicely with my reading of Yuuta that I just had to write them together.
Glad you liked/hated it so much! *grins*
