Touya finds out a few things about what Yue likes, despite Yue's complete cluelessness. Drama with Pre-Romance, I-3

Touya snorted. Yue was stuck with the family, now; he might as well get used to it.

SO sweet - I love the idea of this, and your use of Syaoran is clever. I like the whole concept of this tastes thing... though personally, I think Yue probably doesn't eat because he does a Suppi when given sweets. Since he and Suppi are comparable personalities. ^_^

I spent a few days buried in elemental cosmology when the idea struck, and Clow actually uses the Japanese (and Buddhist) common version of the elements, rather than the Taoist one, which is most common in Chinese esoteric systems. But if CLAMP can ignore that, then so can I! *laughing*

... you know, the idea of Yue on a sugar high is a truly terrifying one.

*claps her hands* Oh. Oh, Touya might be the sweetest thing in the history of sweet things. *dotes on him mightily*

*grins* He's a bit, adorable, grumpy squish, he really is.

I agree with the previous comments... I love your attention to detail with the story... Toya and Yukito's relationship didn't receive alot of attention in either the anime or manga for obvious reasons so it's cool to read fanfiction about the pair...
I also loved the connection (re:food preferences/chinese medicine) between Clow to Yue to the Brat and back to Toya...
This way the story doesn't end...

Touya hated it when That Boy was helpful; it made it a lot harder to stay properly mad at him for stealing Sakura.

This is good, very interesting... a lot of people try to avoid the Yukito-is-also-Yue thing, and I'm glad you're addressing it. ^^

I love the dynamics between Yukito and Yue, and, really, the canon barely brushed over them. *wry* So I can see why a lot of people skate around it, but there's also tons of room to play with them!

Two days later a package of books on Chinese medicine and health arrived, full of charts, and lists, and diagrams of elements and tastes and heat versus cold. Touya hated it when That Boy was helpful; it made it a lot harder to stay properly mad at him for stealing Sakura.

So why doesn't Yue eat? Is it because he doesn't like the things that Kero usually pigs out on? ::very interested::

I especially like November, with everyone briefly in shock wondering if Yue's going to drink his coffe or not. Amusing indeed, especially with Touya giving them the "DRINK YOUR TEA NOW OR DIE" look.

Very much adoration for Touya poking at Yue, oh yes indeed.

*heartheart* I swear, Touya just needs people to protect. And Yue is practically custom made. *grins*

I figure that, since Kero is the one who's loudest about food, it's usually /his/ kind of food that gets made, and Yue wouldn't like that. They have opposite alignments, and food has elemental associations in Tradition Chinese Medicine. And I expect Yue also Does Not Eat as a way to differentiate himself from his "sibling" Kero even more. *snerks*

Well, as Sakura starts growing up more and needing protection less, it will be good for Touya if he has someone to transfer some of his protective instincts to. ;-)

Yue-as-sibling, with attendant psychological issues, is also quite amusing. Kinda like twins who act completely opposite from each other so as to establish their individuality-- as completely as they possibly can.

*grins* I'm half convinced that's why Touya is so pissed off at Li--because now /he's/ protecting Sakura!

Really, don't they act like sibs? All the snipping and snarking. I find it very amusing, especially once they're both out and about and having to deal with each other again.

They really do. Actually, Kero and Yue sibling fics are held highly in my esteem . . . no matter how snarky they get I like to think that they genuinely care about each other. And that's what really makes snark fun. ::nods definately::

Thank you so much for sharing this sweet treat! I love the Touya point of view and the way that you incorporate the whole motley crew while still giving the focus to the Touya-Yue-Yukito dynamic. I also like the way that this fic is so subtle about their relationship. Touya and Yuki don't seem to be the types of people to have a flashy romance - what a mental picture that is... Anyways, their relationship is gentle and caring and you display that wonderfully. And you include Yue! So creative and thoughtful. It really was a joy to read :).

I've always loved the way Touya and Yuki are with each other; it's so subtle and so strong and constant at the same time. Trying to fit Yue in can be a challenge, but I bet Touya can manage it, if anyone can!

Aw, it's cute that Touya cares about Yue too (Thought weirdly I'm not so fond of T/Yue as much as I am of T/Yuki) and how he makes him eat and drink without taking 'no' for an answer; he knows exactly what to say or do :D

Also Syaoran is to observational at time for his own good XD
