thoughts on data tennis
*tearing through the new mangapuri*
*pauses to love on Genie*
Squeeeee! AkuTaka, AkuTaka, AkuTaka! *pauses* Well, not exactly, because I honestly don't see them as particularly sexual with each other, but you get the idea.
And I was right, damn it, Akutsu *isn't* leaving tennis!
You know, it says something about Inui's (or maybe Konomi's) understanding of analysis, or lack thereof, that he says data taken before one of Kabaji's matches is useless. It's true that new techniques will make a very quick appearance, but previous data *would* still be useful in terms of average speed of absorption and translation into practice, overall strength/endurance/flexibility etc. which could then be applied to calculate the particulars of how Kabaji will deploy and perform any given new technique. In addition, any data on his opponent could and should be cranked into that calculation. This is what it seems to me Data Tennis *should* be--yet what we see Inui and, to a lesser extent, Yanagi practicing is far more simplistic.
Perhaps that's what Data Tennis could become, over the years...
Also, Yuuta really is adorable; I love that someone cultivating such a tough attitude still uses all the proper titles.
And Fuji freaking out over Taka-san is pretty darn cute, too. He really doesn't understand, at this point, does he?
I love the dynamics of Hyoutei; they're so subtle.
