I've delayed on commenting on this for a while, partly because of my reactions to the piece. I had a hard time with the relationships, partly because I have this sense of the canon relationships superimposing over my reading. But the Fuji/Yumiko really works for me, despite that reading.

And I love Tezuka being understated and wise. "Even someone who finds his way doesn't always go down it." ♥

*smiles* We've progressed so far in canon, I had to go back and reread the early stuff to remember where Fuji started out. He's really made an impressive amount of progress.

Poor Tezuka. *pets him* He's so conscientious about his players soliders, and at this point Fuji is still fighting him pretty hard on that score.
