Fic post from my archive.
Echizen enters his first battle as a samurai of Uesugi, against the forces of Kaga under Tachibana.
They would probably have been fine if Echizen's opponent hadn't seen himself about to be caught between the two of them and panicked. Momo reacted automatically to the man's desperate, circling slash.
So did Echizen.

And I love the Tezuka-Oishi dynamic. *purrs*

*hearts* Oishi is so protective, and I do love him for it.

The little bits of introspection from Tezuka are very nice. Considering I'm helplessly biased against Tezuka, that's amazing. But it's so true. That what drives Ryoma on isn't right for a samurai, that it'll probably be his downfall one day, or one of those dramatic ends.

*pleased* I contend that Tezuka is done a disservice very often--both by his fans and his not-fans, really. The poor guy's got a stick up his ass, no question. But he always strikes me as also being very concerned for the wellbeing of his team and his game. He makes a good samurai.

Yes! They're like best buddies and punching each other in the shoulder and various other boyish things to do. Um. Them sleeping all over each other is just cute, like you said. *ruffles Momo's hair*
I avoid him the best as I can, so I suppose I can do him no disservice, nor service. *grins* Yes, samurai often have sticks and various other things up their asses. Um. He's a good leader! And that is all I will say for I do not understand him.
