Kirihara's second spin through Regionals, and Nationals, as a captain this time. Drama, I-3

The pace of what Akaya couldn't help but think of as the real tournament season had two very different parts. There was the daily practice with his team, which, while demanding and sometimes intense, had a smooth swoop to it. And then there were the actual tournament matches, that sprinted along like a heartbeat after an adrenaline spike.

Well, for the finals I'm thinking Yuuta won against Tsunoda, because Hiiyama was up against Kamio in S2, and Hiiyama is actually an amazingly kick-ass player--he's just not very flamboyant about it.

It makes me wonder how he's going to adapt to being the brat of the team again. After all, he's been out of Yukimura's orbit for a year, and how is that going to change the relationship between the two of them?

*hearts you madly* Those are exactly the questions I'm writing to answer! Now that Kirihara's had a taste of being in command, and all the headaches that go with, things can't just go back to the way they used to be. No matter how much he or anyone else might like them to.

And he's about to go through some of the same process emotionally, too. *rubs hands*

Whee - you gave Yuuta a victory! *sends rainbow-coloured hearts your way* I find myself growing fond of Hiiyama - he's not the most interesting original character in Third Watch (that would have to be Suzuoki, ne?), but to put up with being Kirihara's vice-captain, and win against Momoshiro and Kamio...the boy's not half-bad.

Aka-chan in high school! *grins madly in anticipation* Oh, the dramatic possibilities...
