Kirihara's second spin through Regionals, and Nationals, as a captain this time. Drama, I-3

The pace of what Akaya couldn't help but think of as the real tournament season had two very different parts. There was the daily practice with his team, which, while demanding and sometimes intense, had a smooth swoop to it. And then there were the actual tournament matches, that sprinted along like a heartbeat after an adrenaline spike.

Momoshirou like Niou! Although i think a lot of people have commented on that... And Kirihara's thoughts on Echizen... I really, really like the way treat Ryoma - keeping his 'specialness' for lack of a better word without letting it overwhelm the other characters and the story, or his own character either.

And Kirihara himself is just *love*

Ryouma is fun to work with. I mean, he's the Wonder Kid, but he's out of step and out of place in so many little ways that have to give him problems like everyone else's. *considers* Actually, Kiri-elf is a little the same way. Maybe that's why it's fun to bounce them off each other every so often. *grins*

Second that! The banter in the Kirihara-Echizen match is some of the most delightful - love seeing the brats trying to outsnark each other.
