Fic post from my archive.
Mad Hatter has a few difficulties coping with how people have changed, post-canon.
"You are not fit to carry the weight of Pride," hir lord said, evenly. "You have none. Not really."

but even within that relatively small realm of experience I've still got ideas about what I would write if I wrote Tenipuri. (Do you do that as well?)
Oh, yeah. Especially if I'm moving slowly through some series or other. The shapes of the characters make spaces where fic could go.
It's like relief.
If that makes sense.
Infinite sense. It's wonderful to hear that it clicked that well, for you. *pleased* *hugs*

Hmm. I'm intrigued enough to certainly be willing to give AS a shot, but if I think a series might actually mean something to me I generally try to read it in Japanese. How many volumes are there, so I can figure out how much of an investment that would mean?
Maybe it would be a good idea to read the first volume scanlated; is that a good point at which to evaluate whether I want to put the required amount of money into the series? (I assume I will want to, actually, but it's always so much easier to part with the green if you've had a taste of what you're getting....)

There are twenty volumes, altogether, and *checks* yeah, Volume One should give you a decent run-up. It ends on a small cliff-hanger, nothing horrible, just a bit... page turning. The mangaka's good at that. And it will introduce at least half the main characters. I can email it to you, if you have an address that can take large files (31 megs).

20 volumes. Oh, dear. @_@ I'd love it if you could email me the first chapter, though. My hotmail addy should work: cutter_tekka @ hotmail.com
