Side-story to the Challenge arc. Fuji finally plays a serious match against Tezuka. Drama With Porn, I-4

Shuusuke was terrified.

All right, perhaps that was a bit strong, but it had been a very long time since he'd felt this kind of tension. Even longer since he'd had butterflies in his stomach and shaking hands over a tennis match.

2nd Muse: shuddup. this is a Fuji-Tezuka fic.
1st Muse: no, but I distinctly remember, because I was just so upset when all of a sudden Tezuka and Oishi were doing things together that a good Tezuka and Oishi shouldn't do.
2nd Muse: What part of "Fuji-Tezuka fic" did you not understand?
1st Muse: But that would mean Tezuka's cheating on Oishi and--
2nd Muse: did you *not* see the author's note at the top that said this fic exists in a bubble? hmmm?

Absolutely stunning, my dear.

Your explaination for Fuji's reluctance for playing seriously because of his brother definitely is a believable motivating factor; as with the sense of torn feelings he must be experiencing if his truly believes that to play a friend or cared-for member of his team seriously means he will lose that person... And Tezuka, who's always been demanding he play serious... I like how it connects so beautifully with Yukimura's revelation to Fuji that the top long for and search for those who can keep them company, push them further, and how that's what Tezuka has always wanted from Fuji. A partner who can push him higher, make him stretch to reach further. You truly have set Fuji up to be the strongest player in the tenipuri universe, with a little more work at cutting loose and *burning*. ^__^ To borrow Taka's phrase.
I liked the afterglow of the high from the game, still pumping dangerously in their systems, seeming to dare Fuji to continue the serious game he started in one court. And the net getting in the way was a wonderfully humourous moment of love.
But most of all, my water-fettish hentai self rains hearts upon your shower scene---and begs for a sequel. >.> Although she knows she shouldn't.

now I must rewatch the usagi to neko video to recapture the amusement that is 'raining hearts'.... {giggles}

Thank you, my dear. This thread is definitely going places; I may have to make it official, since I want to come back around to these themes in Kirihara's arc, and let the TezuOishi and the (prospective) YukiTezu exist in alternate dimensions. So there might be a sequel. Maybe.

Tezuka did, after all, promise a next time to Fuji.

that's right... it takes little to no effort to distract my muses....I was just amused that it was the muse who was having such a hard time digesting the Tezuka-Oishi from before who was upset. ^.^ She does so hate breaking up a romance, you see. Still, I think I might have mentioined before that I thought a Tezuka-Fuji pairing was coming from this Rikkai arc, and I'm so glad to see you try it. It works beautifully.

And you know, even without knowing about the Challenge series, I think this would be a great Fuji-Tezuka story. You should post it to tenipuri500 for the water challenge! ^__^ tee hee hee...

Ooooh... I did sort of forget that you were writing a possible continuation for Akaya... oh, yummy. I am so looking forward to it. ^___^

And yes, Tezuka most definitely promised Fuji a next time.
