It's a writer thing

I was wandering around the bookmarks on some of my stories, because it's always fun for me to see what extra tags people add, and sometimes you get, like, extra comments in there. And I came across one on an Akatsuki no Yona story that said "this is absolutely fascinating and im in pain". And I just had to stop and beam at the computer screen all sunny, because yes, thank you, that's perfect. That canon is made of heartbreak, and if I'm not writing fixit then I absolutely want my audience to be gasping and clutching their chests and going 'that was my /heart/'.

Writers are absolute bastards, really.
