Style
You know, I think what's going on with my writing is that my style is swinging over to line up with the other half of my artistic taste.
See, one half of my taste in visual art is given over to saturated colors. This is why Amanda's colored art often makes me drool. I love saturated colors with a mighty passion (not primary, mind, just saturated).
The other half of my taste in visual art is firmly given to sketches. Black and white pencil or pen sketches. (This is why I like seeing Amanda's art before it's colored, too). I love the texture and dynamism of those lines; it's so alive and so simple and so much.
The vast majority of my writing lines up, stylistically, with saturated colors. Yum. But lately it seems to have swung to the other side, and I want to write sketch-like things. I don't know whether this process will go far enough for me to write long things in this style, but the possibility intrigues me.
