That! That just... boggles me, that whole "no, no, it must all be /free/, otherwise we are /inflicting our values/ on the users!". Which, of course, handily obscures the path toward any meaningful and useful fix for the current, really quite urgent, operational failures. And deflects blame for those failures from the major planner(s). Just throw the volunteers to the wolves instead. *sighs*
