Filter subscription entry

And, lo, here we have the Subscribe to Filters poll.

I tend to post a lot of things locked and filtered. Some security decisions I make myself, but most of my filters are content filters. The divisions are as follows:

Daily Life: Highest traffic. This is a bit of a catch-all. It gets entries about the house, the weather, the cats, the latest go-rounds with my doctors, triumphs or anguish related to designing or programming or layouts, etc.

Teaching: Very low traffic. I switched career tracks in 2015, so this now has mostly training-related stuff. Technical details like memorable posts, assignments that really worked, notes on potential curricula go in here.

Design: Low traffic. Details of course design and articles I want to keep track of go here. Also, technical details of site design and programming, useful software, cursing at predecessors, CSS tricks.

Esoteric: Vanishingly low traffic. I rarely write about my own spiritual leanings, but when I do it goes in here. Note: my own leanings are split between pagan and atheist.

Self-stuff: Very low traffic. This is where I document the inside of my own head. It tends to be moderately incomprehensible unless you know the vocabulary.

Explosions: Very low traffic. Past experience suggests that it is cathartic to some people to watch me go off like a fireworks factory over things and people who have truly raised my ire. This generally relates to fandom or to work.

Fandom: Fandom and political posts are largely unfiltered; as long as you have my journal subscribed you get those.

Please mark below any and all filters you would like to subscribe to. I assure you I will not feel in any way upset or slighted if you only want one or two of these, or even none, and I will make sure you are not in any filter you leave unchecked.

If one chooses none... is that, in fact choosing all? Which is what I would do.

Well, I choose all :)

I find it difficult to believe that there's anyone who doesn't want to be on Explosions. Surely there are actual saints in our world, living alongside us! Who knew?

I don't know whether it's the bag of popcorn aspect so much as it's the fellow feeling/reassurance. It's always nice to know you're not the only person who occasionally feels, and has to restrain, a powerful urge to tear out people's throats with her teeth.

I always love reading a good explosion post myself! I post some of them (though not nearly as much as I should :hrmmms:

A bit late to the party, but I ticked all of them.

Tickied -- but my curiosity should never obligate anybody to add me anywhere they don't want me, so please do as you prefer. ^_^

Nothing like having a complete stranger fill out a subscription poll ...

But I've followed your public posts for a while, and hoped perhaps that you wouldn't mind a little 'de-lurking' now. I will also say that I'm not nearly so creepy as this makes me sound! >.<;

You're not the only one who took this opportunity to de-lurk. ;)

I actually like that part about moving journal sites... It happened a lot when people went from LJ to IJ too.

Hey there, could I be added to all of your filters? I like reading your entries. :)

I've already filled this out with the OpenID account, but I figured doing so again with this one wouldn't hurt.
kaigou: this is what I do, darling (Real size)

I never filled this out! So I have no idea what I'm on and what I'm not. Other than the fact that I adore your explosions, though I wouldn't call them explosions. More like gorgeous if sudden fireworks of great snark.

If I'm not too late, I just filled out this poll. (Also, hi! I'm one of the people taking advantage of DW to subscribe to everyone who I was too chicken to follow on LJ; I adore...very nearly all of your writing.)
