Bunta knew perfectly well what Jackal was doing, of course, but he rarely turned down the opening. It was one of the reasons Jackal found his partner endlessly entertaining; his dramatics were always perfectly sincere and entirely deliberate, at the same time.

Now I finished to read the story and even though I liked (because It's impossible not like, as you are always great when you are writing), I have to say I don't like the pair Jackal/Marui.
It's not a total disgust as I feel with MomoRyo, but I simply can't see those guys together. It's much easier to me to see Jackal with Kirihara than with Marui.
I don't know why, so I really can't explain my reasons, I just...can't see them together in my mind. I've always seen Jackal and Bunta as great friend, but definitly not lovers. It just not fit, you know?
Of course it can be something of my twisted mind, but...that's how I see them, and I really think difficult to change this image.

But I enjoyed your fic, and the way you put things between them. So, I'm still here, waiting for more (not with them, of course, but...well, you understood, right?).

I know what you mean. That's part of why I couldn't give this story all that much context. Marui and Jackal are such a separate-spheres sort of pair, when they play, that there aren't that many suggestive moments to work with.
