Bunta knew perfectly well what Jackal was doing, of course, but he rarely turned down the opening. It was one of the reasons Jackal found his partner endlessly entertaining; his dramatics were always perfectly sincere and entirely deliberate, at the same time.

Well, I'm still reading the story. Actually, I'm at the beginning, but I had to say something.
Jackal is from Brazil, right? (half Brazilian, half Japanese, right? Or am I wrong???) Well, and here, in Brazil (yeah, I'm Brazilian) we speak Portuguese, not Spanish.
And, I have to say, even thought I like the idea of Jackal being half Brazilian, had lived in Rio de Janeiro etc, I totally disliked the way they put our contry as if we lived in a jungle, where everyone is black etc. Geeez! Of course we have one of the biggest forest in the world (Amazonia) but it's just a small part of our contry...that has a lot of cities as all other countries in the world. Specially Rio de Janeiro, that is a very big citty, with I don't know how many million of inhabitants.
And of course we have a lot of black people in our country too, but Brazil isn't like some countries where black and white have diferent groups. We have a lot of races (africans, germans, italian, japanese, chinese, etc) in our land so...it's very improbable that in a team (as Jacks Brazilian team that was showed in PoT 118, I think) we would had just black people, specially tennis, that is a sport with great majority white.

Oh, I'm sorry, but your frase made me remember my revolt when I watched the episode, so I had to put it out to someone listen. I'm sorry you was the chosen one to listen my rage with the show (it's not with your fic, ok? But I think you noticed that, ne?).

Well, let me come back to your fic, that I need to read it, that I stopped at the beginning to do just a small comment about Brazilian language, and wrote to much about other things. I'm sorry again.

*covered in embarassment for such a silly mistake* I do know my world history better than that, really I do...

Oh, don't worry, you can go ahead and vent! That particular bit of cliche did strike me as rather odd, really, since I recall reading somewhere that Brazilian-Japanese is one of the largest and most stable cross-nationality populations in Japan. You'd think there would be a little more accuracy.
