The Road

Ed thinks over what he knows about Roy. Drama, I-3.

"Bradley's office was buried in the middle of this building," Mustang pointed out. "Mine faces out over the city. And by standing at these windows, and being seen here, I say that I trust the loyalty of the people around me. Soldiers and civilians both."

I like how you cover a few things about Ed's reasoning, his obsession, his drive, and his now need for an adranaline rush. What made the great stories good wasn't that the heroes beat the bad guys, rather it was the heroes themselves. The changes they go through, the maturity they gain, the pain exchanged for wisdom. That's what made the stories for me, that what the were had changed, though fundamentally they were still who they always had been, but wiser and older.

While Ed might not be as obsessive, he now needs an edge in his life. In other words, he can't go back to what he was, and I doubt deep down he truly does. And I like how you bring up Roy's drive, and his journey, and how now the job is eating Roy whole, and MotherHen Ed is going to be interesting.

Definitely not. As Hughes says what Roy does without realising it is so irritating, but so terribly amusing as well ^^
