PoT: Challenge: Water Over Fire
Fic post from my archive.
Immediately after Chapter Ten, Sanada (and, to a lesser extent, Yanagi) explains himself to Yukimura.
"You take too much on your own shoulders so often," Renji sighed. "That was exactly what got you into this situation in the first place."

If more writers could produce works of such quality, I would be floating in the clouds for a very very long time. ^^

{thinks. tilts head}
water... over fire.... [nods] pretty damn insightfuly. {grins} well, tis not my smex (small pout) but tis damn good regardless {inner muse: of course it is! it's a ravenwood fic we're talking about here!}
these boys are just so pretty together... the dynamics of their relationship... Just the sheer intensity that is Yukimura {sighs} have I told you lately that I love and adore and worship your characterizations? ^.^;; You always did have such a wonderful insight and way with all these boys, but I don't think it's every really shined as well as with Rikkai (and are you *sure* you don't want to write something for D2? {sniffles})
As always, I'm looking forward to anything and everything your muses will turn out!

Oh, and I *loved* Renji's "correction. 0%" followed by Sanada's thank you for the update... ^.^v
(are you *sure* you don't have anything up your sleeves for D2???)
I look forward to reading more of whatever your muses will produce!

--this is one of the most breathtakingly intimate, yet non-smutty fics I've ever read, regardless of fandom. They way you use the water here, to enhance the level of comfort between the three and visualise how they click back together again like a jigsaw puzzle, washing away the hurt and the guilt, renewing their relationship in a way; it's pure beauty. I misted up by the time they went from the shower to the bath, and by the end I needed to dry my eyes.
