Sasuke didn't know what he wanted to say until he heard the words, "I really loved my brother," coming out of his mouth. Sakura took in a quick breath at that and wrapped her arms around him. Sasuke was glad for that; it kept the shaking in his stomach from taking his whole body. "I loved him," he said again, slowly, painfully. "And then he turned into... that."

If Naruto was sometimes his voice, maybe he was Naruto’s history—all the things Naruto should have been taught, as the son of the Fourth, but never had been. I read the first clause and went "hee!" and then I read the rest and I d'awwed hard. When Naruto is hokage, Sasuke is going to be pretty indispensable dealing with the noble clans, isn't he?

...and then there was like, an entire rest-of-the-chapter of uchiha angst. O.O Hello there, that was my heart. D: I liked what you did with the shrine, and how Sasuke had been afraid both of it being the same and of it being too different. And the domestic stuff-houses and babies and packing and whatnot--makes a really nice contrast with the intense action in the last few chapters.

*evil laugh* Oh yeah. I think, when Naruto is Hokage, all the nobles are going to be /deeply grateful/ for Sasuke every single time Naruto starts waving his arms and going on about how nobles are just crazy. Because Sasuke is the one who will whack him over the head and explain it.

*pleased* Yeah, the wrapping-up chapters for both Sakura and Sasuke were a lot of "now we have to slow down and really deal with this stuff". And all the hugs.
