*wry* I hear you. The cats were charming in their own way, but the Young Wizards were way too sledge-hammer-morality and the Trek books were just the last straw. A lot of really good fanwriters seem to use Spock's World as their basis for Vulcan culture, so I went ahead and picked up a few secondhand. Should have stuck with the Nu-Trek fic.
