Niou enters junior high and encounters a wonderful new game. Drama, I-3

Niou Masaharu liked seeing people disconcerted. The expression itself amused him, and the knowledge that he had been the one to put it on somebody's face gave him a nice, warm glow of accomplishment.

Settling in to read these (I should probably read them all before I start commenting, but, pffttt.) finally and... eeeeeeeeee. *___* You have Niou down to an art here, I swear. His love of playing tricks that are somehow more than just two-dimensional (which impresses me so much because we really haven't seen a whole lot of him in either the manga or the anime) and he just... FEELS RIGHT. I cannot express my joy enough at that.

Never even mind that, if he did attempt to play something on Yukimura, Sanada, who had no sense of humor Masaharu could detect, would skin him. Possibly for the purpose of making Yukimura a new pair of house slippers.

....have I mentioned that I love you? Because, dude, I can just SEE the expressions on their faces with these excellent ways to get the scene across. Plus, the image of Yukimura with little Niou!slippers is hysterical. XD

Facing Yagyuu across the net he had noticed the intensity of Yagyuu's game, the flare of focus and passion pressed under the smooth glass of Yagyuu's manners and restraint.

This is somehow the best description of Yagyuu's playing style that I think I've ever come across. It's so... Yagyuu, to my mind. *fawns*

There is a whole lot of extrapolation going into this; enough to occasionally make me nervous, but I think I'm mostly keeping them in tune with the little canon we have. Good to know you think I am, too!

*falls over laughing at the idea of Niou!slippers*

Oh, yes, with his picture on the toes, possibly chibified, and his little ponytail hanging different ways on the left and right foot! *wipes eyes* Actually, I'm dying to see these guys chibified.
