Exactly! If there's one admin regularizing the metadata, then it generally works out. Readers will get a feel pretty quickly for what the information they're given means and implies. But something like AO3, with every author doing their own tagging... *shakes head* Oi. I think encouraging lots of tagging is a good idea, since that's how the archive is navigated, but there's gotta be /some/ way to present that information gracefully.
