I'm over on LJ (afteriwake) and got directed here from one of the Bleach communities, and I must say, I think this is my new personal canon. It makes sense, and explains a lot about the age ranges, and how older (but not as old as Yamamoto) shinigami like Ukitake and Unohana can still look so young. Brilliant idea.
