All right, the (comparatively) long delayed second Success fic is up!

I'm marking this one with spoilers, but I'm not sure when they're for. It hasn't shown up yet. But it will. People who have the manga say so. It's about who the uber bad guy will turn out to be.

Anyway, Gen Fic No. 2. Drama, I suppose.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/thedoor.html

...and there are two other places I plan to post this. Just call me Crosspost Queen.

*looks at bouncing bunnies* No, guys, I'm not going to start writing you now. I can barely proofread right now. You can just wait until I feel less like I've been marinated in lactic acid.
branchandroot: oak against sky (Default)
All right, it went very quickly today, so here we go. The promised Hughes/Roy.

It got rather darker than I expected, though I suppose it's not surprising for something set at Ishvar. The dark alternates with lots of fluffy, though, and a nice little lemon.

Ok, here's the story.

It's gen, some angst, some fluff. NOT Roy/Hughes, no matter what your reflexes say to the contrary, not past, present or future, amen.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/AAC.html

There will be more to follow it, though I think the next thing I write *will* be Roy/Hughes, the one Trudy-chan wanted me to write. A stand-alone, I think.

Ed: You said you would do the violin-bunny next!

Emily: I said I might. Not my fault if you guys can't decide whether you want plot or not. And if I work on the Success Arc some more you'll get to have a screaming fight with Roy. *temptingly* You've always wanted to be able to yell at him, haven't you?

Ed: *thoughtful look*
branchandroot: oak against sky (Default)
Right-oh, all, smut has been accomplished. With velvet robes. I feel productive.

And now, off to dinner.

Ah, what the heck, it's done I'll post it now.

So, here's the *really really sappy* part of the epic that bit me.

Three parts long, lots of sap, lemon in part two.

It's done! It's done!

Well, minus final revisions, anyway.

Chapter thirteen, short, Roy-torture, because he's so messed up.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch13.html

Chapter fourteen, lemon (at last, right?)

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch14.html

And kind of dangling end, because the next part is another story. Looking alarmingly domestic, too.

Sunlight is good. Chapter twelve is dedicated to the nice weather.

Mild angst, flustered Ed, glasses.

Also, the outcome of darts--sort of. *winks at arete*

*yawn* Lazy day. Chapter eleven.

Um. Mild psychological drama. Warm fuzziness.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch11.html

Need some calories.

Woot and huzza. Chapter ten is done.

Drama, mild angst, a touch of cute.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch10.html

If things keep clipping along like this I may just finish the whole thing tomorrow.

epic 9

Rollin', rollin', rollin'...

On to chapter nine. A fairly short one, this time, introspective and character-sketchy, Roy pov *pets Roy*

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch9.html

...I miss having people to argue with. To argue the *right way* with; it's a very field specific thing. English majors, for example, generally freak out the Sociology and Psychology people who wander into our classes. Nothing anyone says afterwards convinces them that we really *weren't* about to tear each others' throats out. The Philosophy majors, on the other hand, infuriate absolutely everyone else in the wide world. It's all great fun.

I need to crank out the damn diss and get back where I belong.

...which won't stop me from writing chapter ten today.

Chapter eight is here.

Ed Torture! In a cute way. Wow this was fun to write.

Ed: Have I mentioned that I hate you?

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch8.html

*snickers*

epic 7

Rockin'. Chapter seven is done.

Drama. Roy and Ed in a knock-down-drag-out fight--verbally.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch7.html

At this rate I might actually get started on eight before I go to bed...

epic 6

Whoo-ee. Chapter six is a long one, but it clipped right along.

Starts out with kyoudai cuteness, and moves promptly to ANGST ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Resolved angst, though.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch6.html

In other news, I have a terrible craving for Taco Bell, which is unusual unless I'm ill. I do hope I'm not getting Ken's cough. Problem is, Ken has the car and is off climbing.

*pouts*

I suppose I can make do with microwave popcorn with cheese melted on it and tobascco sauce to make it worthwhile.

Tobascco sauce makes anything worthwhile.

epic 5

And we're at chapter five.

Some psychological drama, Ed and Roy being themselves.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch5.html

Next chapter, angst all over the place...

epic 4

And here's chapter four. It went a lot faster than I expected, actually.

Slight angst, major snarkiness, small spoiler ep 7

epic 3

Right, here's chapter three.

Mostly Alicia being cute, wee bit of angst.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch3.html

Off to eat dinner before four gets loud enough to haul me back.

epic chap 2

branchandroot: oak against sky (Default)
Ok, here's chapter two. Angst, angst, angst! And cute fluff too! Not at exactly the same time, to be sure.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch2.html

I think Hughes will put in an appearance in chapter three. But first, I think I'll write the ending before it gets away.
branchandroot: butterfly on a desk with a world in a bottle (butterfly glass desk)
Ok, here's the first chapter of the epic that bit me. Linked off site because I'm sick of messing around with code that's scrozzled on one end or the other.

Antagonism is the main warning for this chapter.

http://www.alltrees.org/hybrid/writing/FMA/ever.ch1.html

Back to ch. 2.
